Voting was disrupted for a while at Arjun Nagar in ward number 12 following a clash between supporters of different candidates after some of them complained that money was being distributed among voters outside the government school polling booth.

According to witnesses, supporters of some candidates were distributing money among voters and scuffle started when they were opposed by some other groups.

However, swift police action brought the situation under control in few minutes. “The scuffle did not affect the poll process as the incident took place outside the booth,” said a senior police official.

Few incidents of bogus voting were reported from Ramlila polling booth in wards 18 and 29. A voter at American Montessori School polling booth in ward No. 34 alleged that her vote was cast by someone else and she was not allowed to use her voting right.

Police, however, said no such incident took place. “The election was conducted peacefully and we did not get any complaint from any polling official,” said SS Deswal, police commissioner, Gurgaon.
