MCI experts inspect GMC

A TWO-MEMBER team from the Medical Council of India (MCI) inspected the Paediatrics and Pharmacology departments of Gandhi Medical College (GMC) and their respective wards in its affiliate Hamidia Hospital here on Wednesday.

A TWO-MEMBER team from the Medical Council of India (MCI) inspected the Paediatrics and Pharmacology departments of Gandhi Medical College (GMC) and their respective wards in its affiliate Hamidia Hospital here on Wednesday.

According to sources, the team comprised of Dr Geeta Kasliwal and Dr Mahesh Gupta – both from the Rohtak Medical College. The team reached the GMC at around 9 am, and Dr Kasliwal inspected the Paediatrics Department while Dr Gupta went to the Pharmacology Department.

The experts conducted physical verification of the teaching staff and lower-level employees of both departments. The team also carried out scrutiny of records and facilities available in the departments.

Later, the MCI experts conducted a round of the Hamidia Hospital and inspected the respective wards of Paediatrics and Pharmacology departments there, sources added.

At about 1.30 pm, both MCI members met GMC Dean Dr Nirbhay Srivastava. They inspected the GMC library, lecture halls and other college facilities.
