MCO?s role lauded

Speaking to newspersons, Colonel Gyan Prakash said as the MC Area Commander, he has ensured the best possible transient facilities to all Defence personnel and their families.

He informed that the MCO Allahabad, commanded by Squadron Leader Rahul Sharma, was raised on April 10, 1963, to control and forward all movements of Army, Navy and Air Force and the unit had been playing an important role in ensuring safe and smooth movement of the VIPs, military personnel, arms, equipment and animals.

“MCO Allahabad strives to improve the transit facilities to Defence commuters,” he said.

The new complex boasts of fully furnished air-conditioned VIP waiting room, officer’s waiting room and jawans waiting area with television and comfortable seating arrangements.

In his address to the Unit, Col G Prakash said it has been endeavour of the movement control organisation ‘Shan Se Aur Shauk Se’ to ensure that the defence personnel and their families travel comfortably and with dignity and honour.
