The CBI on Friday searched offices at the Tata Memorial Hospital and the residences of six of its employees.

It probed allegations into a racket in which medicines worth Rs 100 crore meant for cancer patients were sold illegally in the market over last four years.

“The six people are suspected of having allotted medicines worth crores to dead persons, relatives of patients and others,” Joint Director (Anti-Corruption Bureau) Rishi Raj Singh said.
“We estimate the scam could be worth up to Rs 100 crore,” he said.
