MEDRECON from today

CHOITHRAM HOSPITAL and Research Centre (CHRC) and Health Record Association of India will jointly organise a two-day sixth annual national medical records conference MEDRECON-2006 on 'Medical Records-Present and Future' at the CHRC auditorium at 9.30 am tomorrow.

CHOITHRAM HOSPITAL and Research Centre (CHRC) and Health Record Association of India will jointly organise a two-day sixth annual national medical records conference MEDRECON-2006 on 'Medical Records-Present and Future' at the CHRC auditorium at 9.30 am tomorrow.

Divisional Commissioner Ashok Das would be chief guest at the programme while District Collector Vivek Aggrawal would be special invitee.

Organising committee president Dr Kamlakar Vaidya told media persons here today that around 250 representatives of hospitals from across the country would participate in the programme.

He also informed that problems pertaining to the legalities of medical records in medico-legal cases would be discussed at the programme. Besides this special invitees of the programme would also read out their research papers at the programme.

Organising committee secretary Suresh Carelton, who was also present at the programme, said that five senior Medical Record Officers (MRO) - S L Jolly from Safdarjung Hospital (Delhi), L L Agrawal of Jabalpur Medical College, A P Acharya of Cancer Hospital (Indore), D G Parker of M G M Medical College (Indore) and T R G Pal of CMC (Vellore) - would be felicitated at the programme.

Former director of Harikishandas Hospital (Mumbai) Dr S K P Matawankar would preside over the discussion programme. Justice P D Mulye, senior advocate Ramesh Chhajed, S S Jolly, Dr Vinod Naneriya and Dr Norman Sharma would also address the programme.
