Indiana Jones director Steven Spielberg, one of Hollywood’s biggest players, has to dig into his own pocket to fund moviemaking because of delayed financing.

Spielberg has to pay Paramount Pictures $13.3 million, or half of a $26.5 million price tag, to buy the rights to 17 projects that were in development while his DreamWorks SKG studio was at Paramount.

DreamWorks is now teaming up with Anil Ambani’s Reliance Big Entertainment for future financing.
