The strong sun is also contributing to the feeling that the winter is almost passé, but the Met Office says that the temperatures would continue to be normal or just below normal for the next one to two days although they would rise slightly after that. However, there are chances of the mercury slumping again, so the citizens better not give up their woolens yet.

The night temperatures slumped quite a bit across the State on Tuesday with Khajuraho dropping to as low as 3 degrees Celsius. Gwalior also shivered at 4.6 degrees. In the Capital too, the minimum temperatures went down by more than a degree to be recorded at 8.9 degrees from Monday’s 10 degrees. Indore recorded 8 degrees of minimum temperature while Jabalpur recorded 8.3 degrees.

He however said that a western disturbance is approaching Jammu and Kashmir and this might lead the temperatures to soar a little after two days.
