MORE THAN 300 students of LNCT College of the capital registered for Global Software giant Microsoft’s ‘Imagine Cup 2006 Global Software Contest’.
According to an official release, Akhil Arora of Microsoft, Delhi, visited the college and gave a presentation about the exercise to locate Competent Human Resource, which is being conducted in 90 countries worldwide.
Arora informed the students that a prize of 25,000 dollars worldwide and 10,000 dollars within India could be won by the participants through this competition.
Participating colleges with required aptitude could also be listed on Microsoft Campus programmes. The presentation was followed by a question/answer session. The company also distributed Microsoft T-shirts and caps to six students selected through a lucky draw.
