In choppy trade, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex fell by over 115 points at mid-session on Thursday on emergence of selling by funds in heavyweight stocks.

The Sensex, after rising by 67.12 points in early trade, fell back to quote lower by 115.64 points at 12,742.84 during mid-session.

The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also lost 29.30 points at 3,681.35.
The major losers were Bajaj Auto, Larsen and Toubro, Satyam Computer, Wipro, TCS, Reliance Communications, HDFC, Ranbaxy Lab,ICICI Bank, BHEL and State Bank of India.
