I agree with your editorial Weathering the summer (June 13) that since heat and cold waves are annual phenomena, they should be treated as natural calamities like floods and earthquakes. Let technology serve the people by applying technically advanced methods and means to minimise their impact and severity. But, once summer or winter is over, everything is forgotten and we are back to square one.
