Bowlers Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan are going to vie for a place in the record books, while batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar will also take a crack at a much-awaited milestone.

Kumble, who recently equalled former captain Kapil Dev's Indian record of 434 Test wickets and is also joint-fifth on the all-time Test-wicket list, would be looking forward to moving up the ladder.

The ever-persistent Kumble, now a veteran of 90 Tests, has silenced critics by claiming 76 wickets in his last 12 Tests — including eight five-wicket hauls — since he made a strong comeback from a long injury-ridden period, in Adelaide in December 2003.

Kumble suffered a career-threatening shoulder injury in 2001 and then a fractured jaw while batting in the West Indies in 2002 and many thought his days were numbered.
