Kangleipak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC) in a statement on Friday said private hospitals and clinics were banned from functioning as they are taking 'exorbitant' amounts from patients.

Experienced government doctors were working at private hospitals and private clinics for more money and poor people were getting inadequate treatment at government hospitals, it said.

Howvere, since the imposition of the ban by the outfits many patients were thronging the government hospitals.

Police said KCP-MC had imposed restrictions on the private hospitals and clinics as they had refused to pay huge sum of money demanded by the outfit.
