Minister urges DEOs to produce better results
SCHOOL EDUCATION Minister Dr Narottam Mishra has said that the district education officers (DEOs) and district project coordinators should make sincere efforts towards achieving better results in respect of the drive currently being carried out to improve the results of the High School Certificate Examination 2006 and the activities under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan respectively.

Dr Mishra was addressing a review meeting of DEOs and district project coordinators of Bhopal- Hoshangabad divisions here today. The Commissioner, Public Instructions, L S Baghel, Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Neelam Shami Rao, Joint Director Dr K K Pandey and senior officers also attended the meeting.
Dr Narottam Mishra undertook an in-depth review of the drive being carried out to better the results of the High School Certificate Examination 2006, arrangements for conducting remedial classes, availability of CDs on Maths, Science and English subjects to the students of urban as well as rural areas, arrangements of guests and contract teachers etc.
Dr Mishra also asked about the construction works, distribution of uniforms to students and also the distribution of bicycles under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in both the divisions. He also issued necessary instructions to the officers regarding the targets set for each district of both the divisions.
