Principal magistrate Geetanjali Goel ordered the framing of charges under various provisions of the IPC dealing with gang rape, murder, kidnapping, unnatural offences, attempt to murder, dacoity, destruction of evidence and conspiracy against the 17-year-old juvenile.

The victim succumbed to her injuries on December 29 at a Singapore hospital.

The board has fixed March 6 for recording of evidence.

Charges of robbery, wrongful confinement and destruction of evidence have also been framed against the juvenile for robbing a vegetable seller who had boarded the bus before the gang rape victim and her friend.

The panel will start recording evidence in the robbery case from March 12.

In both the cases, the minor claimed innocence and wanted to contest the charges framed by the board.

Similar charges have been framed against the other five adult accused in the case.
