Miscreants steal Rs 20,000 from car

THIEVES broke open the window glass of a car parked in front of a bank and took away Rs 20,000 on Saturday. The car was parked in front of the Bank of Baroda and the owner had gone inside to deposit the school fees of his children.

The victim had to run from pillar to post to inform the police about the incident, as Kakadev police said that the incident took place under the jurisdiction of Shastri Nagar police post. However, Shastri Nagar police said that incident was not occurred in its jurisdiction and it must be registered at Kakadev police station.

However, after two hours, a complaint was registered at Kakadev police station. Around 11.30 am, the iron factory owner at Panki industrial area Rajesh Gupta, a resident of Pandav Nagar, parked his car outside the Kabadi market branch of BOB at Sindhi Colony Shastri Nagar and went to the first floor of the building where the bank was situated. Rajesh kept Rs 13,300 in his pocket to deposit it in the bank as fees of his sons Kanish and Kashish.

Shocked over the incidence, Rajesh rushed back to bank but bank officials suggested him to report to the police, as the incident occurred outside the bank premises.

Finally, after grueling two hours, Rajesh succeeded in getting his complaint registered at Kakadev police station.

Ironically, when a constable Ram Singh and home guard Shyam Mohan Trivedi, who were present there on picket duty, asked about the incident, Ram Singh reacting over his delayed arrival said, “I had to do night duty and again in the morning I was asked to perform picket duty, nevertheless I was present at other bank.”
