A quaint incident occurred in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, where Waris with his baraat came to tie the knot with Quresha. The groom's side came with much pomp and show and the baraatis were even given a warm welcome. But things started souring up when the groom's side refused to give ten tolas of gold and 50,000 rupees as "Meher" (dowry) to the bride. Muslim laws demand that the groom should give a certain amount of "Meher" to the bride.

The bride's side stuck to their rightful demand and soon abuses replaced the "adaabs" .Both sides flexed their muscles and the atmosphere changed into a nightmare. The bride's side even stopped the supply of food to the hungry baraatis and the groom was asked to take back his baraat. The baraatis replied by their threats to take Quresha away.

So, what began as the big day for two people became a grand day for four. Awesome 'foursome'!
