AROUND FIVE lakh students from 500 schools are being targeted by ‘Science on Wheels’ mobile exhibition based on ‘physics in daily life’ organised by Science Centre, Gwalior in association with National Council of Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) and the Department of Science and Technology of the Union Government.
The mobile exhibition, which commenced on January 27 in Indore would be visiting about 90 cities, towns and villages in 35 districts, before concluding in Ujjain on February 26.
There would be programmes at various places when the exhibition comes to Bhopal for two days on February 23 and 24. During these two days training would be given to 50 physics teachers from various schools in the State
Students will learn the application of various aspects of physics in daily life through this exhibition.
This will also include the Einstein’s `wave theory’. Posters, working models, video films and telescope would be the other attractions.
The students would be shown the night sky through telescope wherever the mobile exhibition makes a stop. Besides, artistes from Khandwa will stage street plays on science at various places.
The vehicle carrying the exhibition will traverse about 70-80 km per day and stop at three places every day where 15 volunteers travelling in the vehicle would present demonstrations.

{{/usCountry}}At selected places, volunteers would also answer students’ queries. The main objective of the exhibition is to popularize physics among students, teachers and common people and highlight the importance of physics in daily life.
