Moderate earthquake shakes the Andamans

A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale,struck the Andaman islands.

A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale, has struck the Andaman islands, the Met department said in New Delhi on Friday.

The tremor, which struck at 23:52 hours on Thursday night, was epicentred at latitude 10.4 deg North and longitude 94 deg East, the department said.
