Modi, Nawaz meeting ‘good first step’: Omar Abdullah

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah sounded cautiously optimistic about the bilateral talks held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif, dubbing it a “good first step”.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah sounded cautiously optimistic about the bilateral talks held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif, dubbing it a “good first step”.

Omar shared his views via a series of tweets.


They also agreed for their national security advisers Ajit Doval and Sartaj Aziz to meet in New Delhi to discuss all matters relating to terrorism, also concurring on an early meeting between the BSF and Pakistan Rangers directors general, followed by that of the DGMOs.
