"Yesterday, Sonia ji asked the people of Amethi to take care of her son. But she also tells people that he (Rahul) will take care of the country. How can a person take care of the country, when he cannot handle his own constituency?" said Modi during an election rally at Bishrampur in Sarguja district of north Chhattisgarh.

Modi also termed the UPA the "maa-bete ki sarkar" (government run by mother and son).

Attacking the Congress for "corruption" and "making false promises", he said the Congress' slogan should be "Har Haath Loot, Har Bol Jhooth" (every hand loots and every word is a lie).

Modi also took a dig at the recent press conference by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Modi is set to address two more rallies at Bilaspur and Durg in Chhattisgarh on Sunday.
