Though it's billed as the showcase for the cuisine of Arunachal Pradesh, it's famous for its momos (though they are drier than they should be) and thukpas. Over ten noodle preparations, the ubiquitous Vegetarian Manchurian, five kinds of Thukpa, soups and chopsuey feature prominently on the laminated menu card. You'll feel you're dining at a Tibetan dhaba. We would've liked to see the popular Arunchali egg curry, rongpu takeng, on the menu, but it has been sacrificed for the sake of commerce. Being a no-alcohol venue, you can't expect to be served apong, home-brewed rice beer popular at Arunachali festivals, but the fruit beer is too sweet for comfort. Why can't the Dilli Haat authorities goad the North-Eastern stalls to serve the distinctive dishes of the Seven Sisters?
