“The cold wave can be attributed to a certain spell wherein the dry northwesterly wind is adding to the chill,” said the duty officer at the Safdarjung Met office.
The Met department has forecast a relatively warmer Tuesday. The minimum temperature is likely to be 4 degrees Celsius. “It will be partly cloudy, making the day hazy,” said the duty officer.
