The national capital may experience more showers for the next few days, the weatherman said on Monday.
"The monsoon has revived in the last three days though there was a lull for over two weeks. Delhi will experience pleasant weather till Wednesday afternoon," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
"In the last three days the city recorded over 88 mm rainfall, which is encouraging. There will be cloudy sky over the next two days and several parts of Delhi may experience light to medium rain," he added.
The city recorded 624.5 mm rainfall since June - "an increase of 17 percent than its usual quota".
While Delhi residents welcomed the showers after days of oppressive heat coupled with long power cuts, the rains predictably led to water logging on roads and resultant traffic jams.
The rains have made Delhi's power department officials happy.
"The rain has brought down the demand for power by almost 300 MW. It has been a boon in disguise," said a Delhi Transco official, the power procuring body of the capital.
Delhi had been reeling under a severe power crisis due to a fall in power supply from neighbouring states. Last month saw four to eight-hour power cuts in several areas.
