A second theatre in Birmingham on Wednesday abandoned plans to stage Sikh dramatist Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti?s controversial play Behzti at the request of the author, who is in hiding after getting death threats.

A second theatre in Birmingham on Wednesday abandoned plans to stage Sikh dramatist Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti’s controversial play Behzti at the request of the author, who is in hiding after getting death threats.

Neal Foster, manager of the Birmingham Stage Company, who had offered to stage the play after the Birmingham Repertory Theatre cancelled it, said it was off.
