Daud was the suspect whose talent for regicide provided impetus for the main narrative arc of "Dishonored," offing the Empress and allowing royal bodyguard Corvo to suffer the consequences.

But from April 16 and for a fee of $9.99, Daud will be prompted to question the basis of his actions, heading off into a couple of new Dunwallian districts and toting a few new powers for players to experiment with.

"Dishonored," made by Arkane Studios headquartered in Lyon, France, was awarded Best Game of 2012 by the British Academy of Film and Television as well as Adventure Game of the Year at the DICE Summit and is in the running for Game of the Year at the Game Developers Choice Awards alongside "The Walking Dead," "Mass Effect 3," "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" and "Journey."
