“I have submitted my petition in the court related to the disrespect shown to the National Flag by the school authorities,” said Naresh Yadav, one of the petitioners and an advocate.

Ajayveer Singh, counsel of the second petitioner Anil Aggarwal, also claimed his client’s petition had been submitted in the appropriate court.

The district administration had on Tuesday served them a show-cause notice and asked them to reply within three days about the reasons and people responsible for the faux pas on Republic Day. The action came after district magistrate Deepak Aggarwal initiated action against the school.

The staff of the school on Meerut Road rectified their mistake after they were informed.
