A woman allegedly committed suicide after killing her 18-month-old son at Velliyampalayam in the district, police said on Saturday.
Police said that the 25-year-old woman poured kerosene over her son and set him fire when her husband was away on Friday. Later she also self immolated, police said.

Neighbours, on seeing smoke coming out of the house,informed the police.
