"The state government has inked MOUs worth Rs 3.70 lakh crore in its last term and despite global meltdown, which has not touched the state, industries worth Rs 1.25 lakh crore have became functional in the state," Vijaywargiya, who was addressing the media after reviewing the progress of MOUs signed by the state government with the leading investors of the country, said in Bhopal.

Out of the remaining MOUs, investment worth Rs one lakh crore would be made in next three years in the state, he said.

The Minister said two industries set up with an investment of Rs 205 crore have gone into production, while industries with an investment of Rs 1.24 lakh crore are in different stages of construction.

Work for setting up agri-based industries is going on at a fast pace while there is a delay in setting the mineral-based industries due to various technical problems, he said.
