MPCON to train VR optees

MADHYA PRADESH Consultancy Organisation Limited (MPCON), a nodal agency of department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries, recently organised a seminar on implementation of ‘Retraining & Redeployment Scheme for Voluntary Retired (VR) Employees’ in the City.

Addressing the seminar, MPCON’s chairman Sanjeev Ghai urged the participants to take advantage of the scheme and assured that MPCON would extend support in their rehabilitation. He also distributed stipend cheques and certificates to trained beneficiaries of the scheme on the occasion.

Explaining in detail about the scheme, MPCON’s managing director Dr PK Lahiri said MPCON provides a six-week training on skill & entrepreneurship development to those opting for VR, which helps them to build up their confidence to take up micro enterprises.

Sharing experiences, deputy general manager of BHEL M Mehdi and factory manager of Bhopal Textile Mills, SK Verma said the employees opting for VR have been taking training. In the past they were redeployed in micro enterprises, with support and guidance from MPCON.
