ALL THE head of departments and hostel wardens at KGMU have been asked to monitor and maintain cleanliness on the campus apart from providing adequate treatment to dengue patients.
The vice-chancellor directed faculty members to keep the campus safe from dengue. Hostel wardens have been instructed to maintain cleanliness at the hostel buildings. The meeting that began at 1.45 pm continued till 3 pm.
Several patients suspected of suffering from dengue have been admitted to various hospitals in the city. Patients of high fever were admitted to Vivekananda Polyclinic, Department of Medicine at KGMU, Balrampur Hospital, Civil Hospital and some of the private nursing homes.
Patients were admitted from Aliganj, Khurramnagar, Alambagh, Indiranagar, Paandariba and Kursi Road localities.
According to health department officials, fogging and anti-larva exercise is being done in coordination with the LMC. The health department has handed over its fogging machines to the LMC and is focusing on anti-larval activity presently.
Meanwhile, Lavanya Ayurvedic Kayakalp Anusandhan Kendra, an ayurvedic treatment centre of the city has claimed that the combination of Panchakarma and Ras-Rasayan is the best solution for dengue treatment.
