THE DEGREE holders of Muallim from Jamia Milia Aligarh took out a procession and staged a dharna at the district magistrate office demanding their recruitment in government primary schools.

They claimed that in a GO the State Government has recognised the degree of Muallim equivalent to the Urdu BTC and when around one lakh Muallim are unemployed, the government should recruit them first before two year Urdu BTC training. Presiding over the dharna noted physician Dr Aziz Ahmad criticized the State Government for a partisan attitude towards Muallim degree holders.
