UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday attacked Prime Minister Atali Bihari Vajpayee saying his reported remarks that SP and BJP were ideologically close were nothing but a "political stunt".

"Vajpayee's statement that we share similar ideology with BJP is totally false and it is a political stunt to part Muslims from Samajwadi Party," he said addressing an election rally here.
Yadav asserted that "SP can never be a part of the NDA and as far as the prime ministership is concerned, it will be decided by the people of the country".
On exit polls, the SP supremo said he had full faith in these. He said that after its results, BJP and Congress were "desperate" and they have started a campaign against him.
