MULTA militants with possible HUJI links held

Two militants, belonging to an Islamic outfit having possible links with the Bangladesh-based HUJI, were arrested by the Army from Assam’s Kokrajhar district.

Two militants, belonging to an Islamic outfit having possible links with the Bangladesh-based HUJI, were on Monday arrested by the Army from Assam’s Kokrajhar district.

The two, belonging to Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Asom (MULTA), were arrested from Talpara village under Gossaigaon police station.

After interrogation, it was suspected that the duo had links with HUJI, army sources said, adding one country-made rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from them.

The militants were later handed over to the police.
