Multifold increase of technical institutes in State

THERE HAS been a noticeable increase in the number of technical education institutions in State during the last four years with two and half times increase registered in the year 2005-06 itself.

THERE HAS been a noticeable increase in the number of technical education institutions in State during the last four years with two and half times increase registered in the year 2005-06 itself.

According to a State Government release due to effective measures taken up by the State Government, over 23,000 students are now being enrolled in these institutions every year.

It may be mentioned here as many as 9,636 students were given admission in the 36 technical institutions under the Directorate of Technical Education during the year 2001-02.

Whereas, in the 2005-06 session a total of 23,794 students were enrolled in such 69 institutions. In the 2001-02 session, 1,500 students were enrolled in 26 institutions for MBA course, 1,910 students in 38 institutions for MCA course and 6,005 students were enrolled in 43 institutions for diploma engineering course.

While in the 2005-06 session, a total of 2,790 students for MBA course in 42 institutions along with 2,925 students for MCA course in 55 institutions and 8,479 students were given admission in 94 institutions for diploma engineering courses.
