India, still smarting from a 157-run drubbing by South Africa in the second one-dayer on Wednesday, will be without paceman Munaf Patel for the third game on Sunday.

Patel was India's best bowler in Durban where he took two for 39 from 10 overs.

There was better news for India in the possible return of Virender Sehwag, who missed the Durban match with a hand injury.

"Virender batted in the nets yesterday and he looked really good, so we are hopeful he should be fit for selection," captain Rahul Dravid said.

The first game in the five-match series was washed out without a ball bowled in Johannesburg last Sunday.
