An eleven-year-old son of a municipal councillor was killed in a grenade blast in north Kashmir, official sources said on Monday.

They said unidentified terrorists hurled a hand grenade towards the house of Abdul Rashid Sofi, a Municipal Councillor, at Bandipora late on Sunday night. It exploded in the compound resulting in serious injuries to Ibrar Sofi.

They said Ibrar was admitted to the hospital where he died this morning.
