The England women's team was just returning from training ahead of their final against Australia. A few fans waited in the lobby for a glimpse of the India team when they left for training, there were also players' agents and, of course, the media.

Keeping close watch while working on his laptop was Anti Corruption and Security Unit's regional security manager Dharamveer Singh Yadav. But even though some Lanka players were seen loitering, none of the Indians came out of their rooms.

"They have ordered room service and will not come down for lunch," informed the lobby manager. India had defeated South Africa on Friday and the only time they got out was to board the bus for a session of football at the venue of the final.

"There were some issues with some players ordering food from outside. But we explained to them and it was for their own good. They are all very happy with the food served to them," said Salman Kabir, the hotel's public relations manager. The team generally comes down to the restaurant at the ground floor for breakfast and lunch. They have preferred to have their dinner out even on non-match days, a source said.

"We have got the poolside cafeteria closed for the duration of the event and that is because of player movement. There have been instructions from the ICC and the Bangladesh government for the event," said Kabir.
