My God, your God

Osho says: “What can be described, cannot be God. God is beyond description and imagination. As per the Vedas, God is ‘Nirgun Nirankar.’ It means it has no virtues and no shape. It has no beginning and it has no end and hence ‘infinite’.

The same is claimed in the Upanishads, “Om Purnamadah, Purnamidam, Purna Puran mudachayate, Purnasaya Purn Madaya, Purnameva Vashishyate,” which means God is complete (read infinite). You cannot take anything from complete, and you can’t add anything to a complete thing; and complete remains complete.

If we consider that the sum total of all energy present in this universe in living and non-living beings and items is God, then we would understand what science claims is also God. Science says, “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but only transformed.”

In Geeta, Lord Krishna confirms this: “Nainam chindanti shastrani, naunam dahati na pavkah, na cianam kledayanti apo, na so sayati marutah,” meaning that the soul (read energy) can neither be cut nor burnt, drowned or blown away and stays eternally. In another case, the Lord claims that we just change clothes (transform) but are never destroyed. Hence the atma/ soul, whose sum total is God, remains always constant, transforming from one body to another, one energy to another, but overall remaining constant and absolute.

Feel that energy is common in all beings and you can have the ultimate feel of Oneness. You are face to face with completeness or infinity, and that is a reality you are.
