“I will miss Sir for the rest of my life. He used to take care of me as a father when I used to stay at the Judo Hall. Sir made me learn how to run. It was because of him that I got a mention in the prestigious Limca Book of Records. My Olympic dream has now been shattered.”

Six-year-old Budhia, however, stayed away from visiting the Judo Hall to pay his respects to his former coach.

On Monday, hundreds of people bade a tearful farewell to the slain coach at the State Judo Association Hall where the body was brought to enable people to pay their last respects.

Earlier the post-mortem was completed at the Capital Hospital in the morning, which established that three bullets had hit Biranchi.
