The mysterious deaths of people linked to multi-layered Vyapam scam or Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board have sparked a wave of dark humour on social media with the Twitterati comparing it to fictional serial killer Dexter and India’s own version of Game of Thrones TV series.
People across the country are posting their reactions and messages under various hashtags -- #khooni vyapam, #killervyapamscam, #vyapam, #vyapam genocide, # shivrajisteefado and so on.The myriad reactions on the social media show how the mysterious deaths, including that of Aaj Tak journalist who died soon after interviewing the family members of an accused, have added fuel to the perception that any linkage to the Vyapam scam could spell trouble or even get one killed mysteriously!

“48 more deaths than the series @Dexter, the show about a serial killer,” reads the tweet one Gagan Gupta. Another, Ashok Garekar tweets: “Few #Tweeples died this morning...their last #Tweet was about #VyapamScam,” while Mohammed Shadab writes: “Think of the #VyapamScam and the death Angel appears.”
On his twitter handle, Kundan Pandey posted “#VyapamScam is no more a scam. It seems serial killing.” Sid Verma tweeted “Easiest way to commit suicide is to declare publicly that you are going to investigate #VyapamScam.”
