NATIONAL BANK for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 74.31 crore to the state government under RIDF-XII for one medium and 15 minor irrigation projects.

The projects sanctioned are for Khargone, Betul, Chhattarpur, Chhindwara, Dhar, Raisen, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Sehore, Seoni and Mandsaur districts.
On completion of these projects, an irrigation potential of 9029 hectres will be created. Besides, the projects would generate non-recurring employment for 34.53 lakh mandays during the project implementation.
Since 1995-96, the total RIDF sanction made by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to the state has reached a cumulative of Rs 3583 crore for various irrigation, rural road, bridge, mini hydel projects, systems improvement in power sector, school buildings and health centres.
