The cricket stadium at Amtar village in Nadaun here was opened on Wednesday, following orders from the state government.

It was closed three days ago when the state government had taken over the control of all stadiums in
the state.

A team of the revenue department led by tehsildar Virendra Sharma opened the locks of the gate and handed over the keys to district youth and sports officer Ved Prakash Upadhyaya.
The administration photographedd the items stored on the stadium campus and decided to run the stadium with the existing staff.
Nadaun SDM Balbir Singh Thakur said normal functioning of the stadium would be allowed and future inter-district cricket matches would be organised as per schedule in this stadium.
