Narain Karthik-eyan has still not recovered from jetlag after landing in Melbourne on Sunday. “It was a tiring 36-hour run. From Moscow, we flew to London, then Singapore and arrived in Melbourne,” said Narain on Tuesday.

Formula One rules do not allow drivers to use the track till two days before the Grand Prix.
So Narain is using all the time on hand to overcome jetlag. “I have been training hard on physical conditioning and using the time in between to do some promotion for the organisers,” said Narain.
The trip to the Melbourne zoo with Jordan teammate Tiago Monteiro was also part of it. Narain has never raced in Melbourne.
“The track hasn’t been used since last year, so there won’t be much grip on it. Of course on Friday, we will get two hours on it. On Saturday we will have two hours and 45 minutes and then the qualification,” said Narain.
There is no doubt that regular F-1 drivers will have a distinct advantage in Melbourne.
Despite the fact that Jordan are not aiming for a podium finish, still their performance on Friday and Saturday will be watched with huge interest.

But, then, the Indian speed-king knows this is all part of making it to the big stage called F-1.
