Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is set to end his month long Swami Vivekanand Yatra at Pavagagh, site of a historical Mahakali temple, in Panchmahal district central Gujarat. Modi will be addressing last public rally of the yatra at Pavagadh at 5pm today.
BJP president Nitin Gadkari, Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh and Goa chief minister Manohar Parikar will also be addressing the public rally for which state BJP leaders will transport more than 50000 people at the venue.
The Yatra will pass through central Gujarat areas before culminating into the public rally at Pavagadh.
During the month long yatra, Modi addressed over two dozen public rallies and passed through around 150 assembly segments in the state. The Yatra was flagged off from Becharaji, where too a famous Becharaji temple is located, in Mehsana district.
"He launched his Yatra from Becharaji, where goddess Becharaji temple is located, then went to Ambaji and now Pavagadh. So in a way, he has visited most of the famous and popular Hindu religious places. This is clearly a soft Hindutva line he has taken," a noted social scientist Achyut Yagnik said, adding "Modi is raising Hindu Mother Goddess in a subtle way."
While addressing public rallies during the Yatra, Modi had launched scathing attack on the Prime Minister, Congress president Adonis Gandhi and also Rahul Gandhi, mocking him as "international leader who can contest election from Italy also."

He made the claim on a RTI applicant's RTI query, claiming that the government of India had provided the figure. However, Hissr-based RTI applicant had refuted Modi's claim denying that he not received any such details from the government of India.
Subsequently, Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) and also the Prime Minister Office (PMO) has rebutted the allegations saying Sonia had not claimed any medical treatment expense from the government while her trips were also not sponsored by the government of India.
Meanwhile, a Vadodara based RTI activist Tripti Shah dashed off a letter to Modi saying his government too had denied details of Modi and his minister's travel expenses made during organizing women conventions ahead of the 2007 assembly polls in the state.
