Nath to inaugurate new IPR office in Mumbai

Union Commerce Minister Kamal Nath will inaugurate the new Intellectual Property Rights office in Mumbai on Thursday.

"Modern IPR offices have already been set up in Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. With the opening of Mumbai office, all four metros would be covered," an official release said.

The new office is part of the government's modernisation programme for all IPR offices, for which Rs 147 crore was committed. Of this sum, Rs 125 crore has been utilised for computerisation, networking of all offices, new buildings and improved facilities, the release said.
