A national woman hockey player attempts suicide by jumping off the Tawi bridge in Jammu on Saturday.

A national woman hockey player attempted suicide by jumping off the Tawi bridge in Jammu.

The 17-year-old Renu jumped into a river from the bridge but a fisherman rushed to save her and she was brought out unhurt, they said.

Renu was then sent back home to be with her family.

Police has registered a case against Renu and started investigation into it.
