National Stadium, Karachi became Karachi's 5th and Pakistan's 11th first-class ground.

The first One-day International match was played here between Pakistan and West Indies in the year 1980. A cliffhanger in the truest sense, the match was decided on the last delivery with Gordon Greenidge driving Imran imperiously through the covers.

One of the oldest venues in the country, The National Stadium has hosted a Test match against India as far back as 1955. Beautifully constructed National Stadium has all the features that an International cricket stadium has.

It has the capacity of around 35,000 people.
