Senior Congress leader and former Foreign Minister Natwar Singh on Saturday left a rally midway in the district after suffering a heatstroke.

Deeg Sub-divisional Magistrate BL Goyal said Singh had a heatstroke while addressing a rally in favour of Congress candidate Laxman Singh this afternoon at Khoh.

He left without completing his speech and was admitted to a hospital in Deeg for treatment.
According to the hospital, Singh suffered a minor heatstroke and his condition was okay. The Congress leader had been advised rest, Goyal said.
