President of the newly-formed organisation, Malay Pathak, alleged the employees of Vidyalayas were reeling under pressure due to extra workload.

“The employees of Vidyalayas are not getting proper remuneration whereas they are performing duties for 18 hours from 5 am to 11 pm,” he said and added such conditions were prevailing in all the branches of total 544 Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country.

Pathak said separate staff worked in residential schools but here in Navodya Vidyalayas, the teachers discharged duties from morning till evening. He added the teachers of Navodya Vidyalayas were being used as hostel wardens in the name of housemasters.

He said the Navodya Vidyalya Samiti had not fixed time hours for teachers and other employees. He added besides, the teachers were facing several other problems.

Pathak said problems of Navodyay employees would be raised before the Central Administrative Tribunal in Allahabad soon to give guidelines to the Samiti. He added a PIL ould be filed in the HC in case if they did not get justice from the tribunal.
