Navy man arrested for sending lewd SMSes to senior's daughter

A sailor of the Indian Navy was arrested by the Cyber Crime Wing of Visakhapatnam Police on the charges of sending obscene SMSes to the daughter of his superior officer.

According to police, M Rana, working at Eastern Naval Command here and staying at INS Circars, was allegedly sending obscene messages to the daughter of a commander based in Visakhapatnam.

The girl informed her father who lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime police. The sailor was arrested on March 3.

Rana was produced before the first additional chief metropolitan magistrate here who granted him bail the same day, police said.
